Sara Pichelli

Sara Pichelli (born 15 April 1983) is an Italian comics artist best known for co-creating and first illustrating the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man. She began her career in animation before transitioning into comics with work for IDW Publishing. In 2008, she was discovered through an international talent search and joined Marvel Comics, where she contributed to titles such as *Namora*. Pichelli became the primary artist on the second volume of *Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man*, which launched in September 2011, introducing the character of Miles Morales. Her style is noted for its expressive linework and dynamic storytelling. Over her career, she has worked on *Guardians of the Galaxy*, *Scarlet Witch*, and the *Spider-Men* crossover, often collaborating with writer Brian Michael Bendis. Pichelli won the 2011 Eagle Award for Favorite Newcomer Artist. She has been credited as artist, inker, or writer on 148 issues from 2009 to 2025, with her most prominent work remaining tied to the Spider-Man mythos.
