The "Venom War" concludes here, and the cover by Sara Pichelli says everything about the stakes: Miles Morales in his red-and-black Spider-Man suit is pinned against a brick wall, symbiote tendrils coiling around him as a massive, monstrous Venom looms overhead with claws outstretched and a whipping pink tongue curling into view. Pichelli and colorist Justin Ponsor render the confrontation with real menace — the inky black of the symbiote consuming nearly the entire frame while Miles fights to hold on. It's a gripping visual cap to this arc from writer Brian Michael Bendis, making clear that the Ultimate Universe's Spider-Man has been pushed right to his limit.
