The "Venom War" begins here, and Sara Pichelli's cover wastes no time setting the stakes — Miles Morales in his black-and-red Spider-Man suit is engulfed by a massive, drooling symbiote creature whose pink, clawed hands close in around him from every direction. It's an unsettling, visceral image that captures Miles looking genuinely outmatched, and colorist Justin Ponsor bathes the whole scene in deep blacks and lurid pinks that make the threat feel all the more suffocating. Brian Michael Bendis and Pichelli deliver a chapter-one you won't want to put down.
