Issue #2 of Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion is the Wakanda chapter of Marvel's inaugural crossover event for the relaunched Ultimate Universe line — the first story to formally draw together all five Earth-6160 ongoings into a single narrative. The issue deepens the mythology of the Ultimate Janet Van Dyne through a dedicated flashback sequence, establishing character backstory for a version of the Wasp who had never previously received that kind of focused origin treatment. The *Incursion* miniseries was conceived as the capstone event of the second year of Marvel's relaunched Ultimate Universe, pairing Deniz Camp — writer of the ongoing *Ultimates* title — with Cody Ziglar, the writer behind the Earth-616 *Miles Morales: Spider-Man* series, so that both sides of the crossover would have an authorial advocate at the table. Artist Jonas Scharf, who had already established his moody visual vocabulary for Earth-6160 on *Ultimate Universe: One Year In*, was brought back to provide visual continuity across the event. A Free Comic Book Day 2025 prologue published on May 3, 2025, seeded the premise before issue #1 debuted on June 4, 2025, with issue #2 following on July 9, 2025.

Issue #2 centers on Miles Morales teaming with the Earth-6160 Ultimates — Giant-Man (Hank Pym) and the Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) — as they travel to Wakanda and clash with Black Panther (T'Challa), Killmonger, and Storm over the fate of Billie Morales.
The issue contains a flashback sequence billed in the official solicitation as 'the secret history of Janet Van Dyne,' providing origin-level backstory for the Earth-6160 version of the Wasp.
H.A.N.D. Agent 18929-93 makes their first (and only) appearance in this issue, posing as a Wakandan servant to abduct Billie before being killed by Silver Samurai (Kenuichio Harada).
Silver Samurai (Earth-6160) appears as an antagonist; his Earth-6160 debut was earlier, in Ultimate Invasion #2 (2023). Killmonger (Earth-6160) first appeared in Ultimate Black Panther #1 (2024) — neither is a first appearance in this issue.
The complete miniseries, including the Free Comic Book Day 2025 prologue, was collected in the trade paperback Ultimate Incursion (ISBN 9781302964818).
