Age of Ultron #10AI
The epilogue to Marvel's 2013 Age of Ultron event takes a striking turn with this "A.I." tie-in, written by Mark Waid with art by André Lima Araújo and colors by Frank D'Armata. Sara Pichelli's cover delivers an unforgettable image: a figure whose red-and-gold armor or mask is shattering apart, mouth open in a raw, anguished scream, fragments bursting outward against a backdrop of crackling energy and cascading binary code. It's a visceral, arresting visual that promises something consequential is happening in the wake of Ultron's age — and makes it very hard to put this one back on the shelf.
