Robert Venditti is an American comic book writer whose career spans more than two decades of prolific output across multiple publishers. Best known for his superhero work at DC Comics and Valiant, he first made a significant mark with *The Surrogates*, a science-fiction series published through Top Shelf Productions that imagined a world where humans interact through robotic body doubles. The story attracted enough attention to be adapted into a 2009 feature film directed by Jonathan Mostow and starring Bruce Willis for Disney.

From there, Venditti built a substantial presence at Valiant Comics, taking on *X-O Manowar* and helping to anchor that publisher's relaunched universe. His move to DC brought him extended runs on some of the company's most prominent titles, including *Green Lantern*, *Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps*, *The Flash*, and a well-regarded revival of *Hawkman*. Across these assignments — which collectively number nearly 400 credited issues between 2005 and 2026 — he developed a reputation for character-driven storytelling within large-scale cosmic and superhero frameworks.

Beyond superhero fare, Venditti adapted Rick Riordan's popular *Percy Jackson & the Olympians* and *The Heroes of Olympus* series into graphic novel form, broadening his reach to younger readers. No major industry awards are currently on record, but his consistent presence across flagship titles at multiple publishers reflects a durable and versatile career.
