Part of the "Emerald Knightfall" arc, Green Lantern #48 brings Robert Venditti's run to a city-shattering confrontation, with cover art by Billy Tan and Mark Irwin. The cover shows Hal Jordan — rendered as a glowing green construct of himself — caught in the crushing grip of a massive armored villain, debris and shattered glass exploding outward against a fiery urban skyline.
