Green Lantern #34

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Green Lantern #34 hits October 2014 with a cover that sets up some serious cosmic trouble. Billy Tan's cover artwork brings together two Green Lanterns — Hal Jordan streaking upward in full ring-powered flight and Simon Baz straining against glowing emerald energy constructs — while a gaunt, hollow-eyed figure tangled in those same tendrils dominates the foreground: meet Aga, the Dismantler of Worlds. The tagline "…and say goodbye to Simon Baz!" adds just enough intrigue to make this Robert Venditti-written chapter of "Incursion" genuinely hard to put back on the shelf.
