Justice League #47
In "Cold War Conclusion: To Forgive Divine," the Justice League ventures into the depths of Tartarus to rescue Jim Corrigan and reunite him with the Spectre, hoping to contain the Spectre’s growing wrath before it spreads across the world. But they’re met with a far greater threat—Tartarus, the first god of Hell, who sees their arrival as the perfect chance to break free and claim dominion over Earth. Written by Robert Venditti and brought to life by Eddy Barrows’ dynamic art, with inks by Eber Ferreira, colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr., and letters by Tom Napolitano, this pivotal issue sees the League facing not just a demon god, but the weight of divine vengeance itself. The cover, a striking piece by Gary Frank, captures the intensity of the confrontation.
