Massive tentacles dominate Bernard Chang's cover for this 2013 New 52 installment, coiling around a snarling, armored warrior who raises twin blades defiantly at the center while several teammates — a swordswoman, a warrior in partial armor, and others — are scattered and swept up in the creature's grip. The tagline "Here There Be Monsters!" sets the tone perfectly for Robert Venditti's "The Stone Door," promising the kind of medieval fantasy mayhem this series does so well. Chad Hardin and Wayne Faucher handle the interior art, rounding out a creative team clearly having a great time with this dark, swashbuckling corner of the DC Universe.
