This deluxe hardcover collects the opening story arc of the 2012 X-O Manowar series, following Aric of Dacia as he is abducted by the alien Vine and bonds with a sentient suit of armor, the X-O Manowar. The volume reprints issues #1–4 of the series, written by Robert Venditti with art by Cary Nord, and includes bonus material such as sketches and covers. It serves as the definitive starting point for Valiant's modern take on the iconic armored warrior.
