Kyle Baker is an American cartoonist, writer-artist, and animator born in 1965, whose versatile output across four decades has made him one of the more distinctive voices in mainstream and independent comics alike. He broke into the industry in the mid-1980s, racking up early credits on titles such as *Web of Spider-Man*, *The New Mutants*, and *Titans* before developing the sharper, more personal voice that would define his mature work.

Baker is perhaps best known for his revival of *Plastic Man* in the 2000s, a run that showcased his gift for broad physical comedy and fluid, exaggerated cartooning. His style — often rubbery, expressive, and saturated with visual gags — suits absurdist material particularly well, though he has also worked in considerably darker registers, as with *Truth: Red, White & Black*, a revisionist Captain America story, and the irreverent *Deadpool Max*.
