“The Cut”

In "The Cut," the remnants of a fractured resistance—Canfield, Evans, and Bradley—push deep behind enemy lines to dismantle Nazi super soldier operations, but a violent clash sparked by Merritt shatters their ranks. With Captain America delayed and his comrades fallen, Bradley is left to carry the mission alone, donning a stolen Captain America uniform for a desperate, high-stakes assault. Written by Robert Morales and brought to life with bold, expressive art by Kyle Baker—pencils, inks, and colors all by Baker—this issue captures the weight of sacrifice and the cost of identity in war. The cover, also by Baker, mirrors the tension with a striking, dynamic composition.

The super soldiers go behind enemy lines on missions to disrupt the Nazi super soldier experiments. Their numbers are depleted to Canfield, Evans, and Bradley, who are scheduled to join Captain America on an attack. But Merritt provokes a brawl in which Canfield and Evans are killed, while Captain America is delayed. Bradley is sent in alone, and steals a Captain America uniform for his attack.
