Keith and Teddy are joined in New Orleans by Tullius Ballad, who is posing as his twin brother, Lucian. Keith encounters Martine in a dream and she arranges a real-world meeting with him. Martine tells Keith that Tullius is an evil voodoo priest who is planning to destroy Lucian's reputation before killing him outright in Haiti.
