Deadpool Max: A History of Violence #1
In "Heads," Deadpool finds himself at Sunshine Rest Home under the care of a psychiatrist named Dr. Inez—except she’s not a doctor, and the facility’s real purpose is far more sinister than therapy. Written by Dave Lapham and brought to life with bold, unsettling art by Kyle Baker, this issue dives into a twisted game of survival and reluctant romance, where even the most dangerous patients have secrets. The cover by Kyle Baker captures the eerie tone perfectly, setting the stage for a story where every smile could be a threat.

Under the guise of providing him with psychiatric care, Dr. Inez brings Deadpool to Sunshine Rest Home for treatment. The only snag is that Inez isn't a doctor, she is a patient, and her job is to lure suckers to the facility so their organs can be harvested. The only other snag is that Inez is in love with Deadpool and tips him off to the plot in time for him to do something about it. Bob, however, unlucky as usual, ends up strapped to a chair in the broom closet.
