Deadpool Max #2
In "As Inez Does (A Love Story)," Deadpool finds himself at Sunshine Rest Home under the care of Dr. Inez—except she’s not a doctor, she’s a patient with a dangerous agenda. Written by David Lapham and brought to life with bold, distinctive art by Kyle Baker (who handles pencils, inks, and colors), this issue blends dark humor with unexpected emotional stakes as Inez’s secret affection for Deadpool complicates her role in the facility’s grim scheme. The cover, also by Kyle Baker, captures the story’s eerie charm in sharp, striking detail.

Under the guise of providing him with psychiatric care, Dr. Inez brings Deadpool to Sunshine Rest Home for treatment. The only snag is that Inez isn't a doctor, she is a patient, and her job is to lure suckers to the facility so their organs can be harvested. The only other snag is that Inez is in love with Deadpool and tips him off to the plot in time for him to do something about it. Bob, however, unlucky as usual, ends up strapped to a chair in the broom closet.
