Plastic Man #13
Kyle Baker's cover for this 2005 DC series says it all with a single perfectly timed gag: a red-clad, rubbery figure — unmistakably Plastic Man in his signature costume — has stretched himself paper-thin to slide through a glass door that clearly reads "PULL." The clean, cartoony animation-style artwork showcases Baker's total creative command, handling every aspect of writing and art himself, and that deadpan suburban backdrop makes the absurdity land all the sweeter. With a story promising "The Most Evil Book of All Time," issue #13 looks like another sharp, laugh-out-loud entry in this wholly unique corner of the DC universe.
