Special Forces #1
"Special Forces, Part 1" introduces a raw, unflinching look at war through the eyes of Sergeant Ramirez, a soldier haunted by trauma and forced to lead a group of unlikely recruits into combat. Written and illustrated by Kyle Baker in a stark, visually striking style, the story plunges into the chaos of Iraq with a squad defined more by their flaws than their training. The cover by Kyle Baker captures the grim intensity of the moment, setting the tone for a journey where survival depends less on skill and more on the unexpected bonds forged in desperation.

Sergeant Ramirez, suffering badly from post traumatic stress disorder, is ordered to fill his quota of new recruits for the war in Iraq. He quickly signs up a band of lowlifes and losers just to make his numbers. When one of the men is killed, however, Ramirez is sent to Iraq to lead this rag-tag bunch. In the midst of pitched combat, Ramirez folds and Felony finds herself barking orders to her fellow soldiers. When the dust clears, only Felony and the autistic Zone are left alive and they still have a long way to go to reach safety.
