Jackson Lanzing
Jackson Lanzing is an American comics writer who works exclusively as one half of the collaborative duo he forms with Collin Kelly — a partnership so symbiotic that the two have earned the nickname "the Hivemind" within the industry. Together, they have produced work for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing, and various independent publishers, with Lanzing active in the medium from around 2010 through at least 2025.
The pair built a substantial body of work across superhero and science fiction titles, accumulating credits on more than 190 issues. Their most prominent output includes extensive runs on Star Trek and Star Trek: Year Five for IDW, as well as DC projects such as Gotham City Garage and Outsiders, and Marvel assignments including Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty and Guardians of the Galaxy. The Star Trek work earned them a 2023 Eisner Award nomination for Best New Series, one of the field's most recognized honors. Beyond comics, Lanzing and Kelly also served as lead writers and executive producers on the streaming series Kings of Atlantis in 2017, demonstrating a range that extends into television production.
No independent biographical details — birth date, birthplace, or solo projects — are documented separately from his partnership with Kelly, reflecting just how thoroughly the two have built their careers as a unified creative voice.
