Gotham City Garage #9

Dustin Nguyen's cover for issue #9 gives us a striking, windswept rider — mohawk hair streaming, expression cool and determined — astride a heavy motorcycle, poised at the edge of what looks like a circuit-board landscape rendered in bold greens and reds. It's a beautifully spare image, Nguyen's loose, watercolor-tinged linework lending the scene both motion and an almost meditative calm. Writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, with interior art by Lynne Yoshii and colors by Kelly Fitzpatrick, continue "The Frequency" in this 2018 DC series that reimagines familiar heroic figures in a gritty, road-worn world.
