Two Starfleet officers — one in the gold command uniform of the original series era, the other in a red uniform with black collar — stand back to back with phasers raised, framed by a blazing streak of light that separates two distinct Enterprise-class starships in the star-filled void behind them. The composition makes a strong visual argument that the barriers between Trek's beloved eras are very much at stake in "When the Walls Fell Part 2." Ramón Rosanas's linework is clean and expressive, and with Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing continuing their cross-era story, this 2024 IDW offering is a genuinely compelling entry in the series.
