Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic #5

The tagline says it all — "Attack of the Garden!" — and Max Dunbar's cover delivers on that promise with a sprawling, vine-choked composition dominated by a massive, skull-faced plant creature looming over the entire scene. Batman Beyond stands his ground on the right while a green-skinned figure with flowing tendrils rises at the center, flanked by a snarling, white-furred antagonist on the left and a striking purple-clad figure in the foreground. Writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing bring their Neo-Gothic arc to its fifth chapter, "The Green," and Rain Beredo's lush golden-and-green palette gives the whole cover an eerie, overgrown grandeur that feels genuinely fresh for the futuristic Dark Knight.
