Green Arrow #40

Tyler Kirkham's cover for this 2018 finale says everything with a single image: a battered, blood-streaked Oliver Queen fills the frame, hood drawn and green mask cracked, his signature goatee and mustache unmistakable beneath a defiant snarl — punctuated by the speech bubble demanding, "Is that ALL you've got?!" It's a fittingly raw close to "The Children of Vakhar" arc, with writing by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and interior art by Marcio Takara and colorist Marcelo Maiolo. If you've been following this storyline, issue #40 looks like a satisfying, hard-fought conclusion.
