Kang the Conqueror #5

The penultimate chapter of "Only Myself Left to Conquer" arrives with one of 2022's most visually striking covers: Mike Del Mundo renders Kang's armored form dissolving amid a swirl of melting clocks, the Dalí-esque imagery suggesting a conqueror undone by the very forces of time he sought to master. It's a gorgeous, painterly piece that perfectly captures the identity-fracturing tension at the heart of Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly's story, brought to life inside by Carlos Magno and colorist Espen Grundetjern.
