The cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson sets the stakes immediately: a dark-suited figure grapples face-to-face with American Kaiju, a massive star-spangled reptilian monster towering over a city skyline, while two smaller heroes engage the threat from a rooftop below. Thunderbolts #3 pits this scrappy team against an opponent who literally dwarfs the surrounding skyscrapers, and the confrontation looks anything but clean. Writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, with interior art by Geraldo Borges and colors by Arthur Hesli, bring "Operation American Peril" to life in what promises to be one of 2024's more satisfyingly chaotic team-versus-monster showdowns.
