Tom Vincent

Tom Vincent was born on January 27, 1956, and built a career as a comic book artist and colorist whose most sustained contribution came through his work on Marvel's *Silver Surfer* (vol. 3), which he colored across six years from 1989 to 1995. That run gave him a high-profile platform and helped establish his reputation for painterly, atmospheric color work.

Beyond *Silver Surfer*, Vincent applied his talents to *The Thanos Quest* and a range of graphic novels, posters, trading cards, covers, and advertising projects for Marvel. His credits across the wider industry are broad, taking in titles such as *X-Factor*, *Thor*, *Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.*, *Speedball*, *X-Men Adventures*, and *Hellraiser*, alongside work for Comico on *Robotech*, *Fish Police*, and *Grendel*. He also contributed to publishers including First Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and Windsor-Smith Studios.

Vincent stepped away from comics in 1997, transitioning into web and graphic design for a national entertainment retailer before becoming an art director at an Albany, New York advertising agency. He has since co-owned The Vineyard Wines & Spirits in Schenectady, New York. He has maintained a connection to the medium through occasional collaborations with longtime friend and fellow creator Kevin Conrad.
