The New Mutants are training in the Danger Room when Illyana is contacted by a figure who wants to help her circumvent her fate. Magik decides to teleport to the future and manipulates her teammates into coming. They arrive in the future at Xavier's to discover that little seems to have changed. In the present, the various members of the old New Mutants hook up to spend a weekend together. They discover their past selves and catch the old team up on the changes they have each undergone. Douglock lets it slip that Magik is dead. Mikhail shows up and tells her he can help her change that.
