“Part 1 Schemes and Dreams”

In "Part 1: Schemes and Dreams," Jim Starlin launches a cosmic-scale quest as Thanos, driven by a twisted vision of balance, sets out to claim the six Infinity Gems. With the help of Mistress Death, he begins his hunt by confronting the In-Betweener, the Champion, and the Gardener—each guardian of a powerful gem. Ron Lim’s dynamic artwork, brought to life by John Beatty’s inks and Tom Vincent’s colors, captures the epic scale of this interstellar pursuit, while Jim Starlin’s cover art sets the tone with haunting, otherworldly detail.

Thanos suggests to Mistress Death to go in search of the 6 gems of Infinity in order to multiply his power and thus be able to fulfill his mission: decimate half of the population of the universe in order to restore the balance. To do this, he goes to confront the holders of each gem: the In-Betweener , the Champion, and the Gardener.
