Bishop tries to kill Gambit as the X-Man who is going to cause the chain of events leading to his apocalyptic future. Once a modicum of peace has been restored in the ranks, Bishop and the X-Men head to Washington to try and prevent the assassination of Robert Kelly by Mystique posing as Gambit (explaining the identity mix-up). Bishop returns to the future.
