This 64-page 1990 annual brings the "Lifeform" crossover to its conclusion as Part 4 of Four, and the cover by Ron Lim and Chris Ivy wastes no time setting the stakes: the Silver Surfer, fists crackling with cosmic energy, fights to break free from an overwhelming mass of grotesque, fang-filled green biomatter that engulfs nearly every inch of the image. The sheer scale of the creature surrounding him — all gnashing teeth, bulging eyes, and writhing tendrils — makes this one of the more viscerally striking annuals Marvel put out that year.
