The New Mutants have come from the past to meet their present counterparts at Xavier's mansion. Illyana has learned that she died and her brother, Mikhail, has told her he can help her prevent it. The present team knows Mikhail is the baddest of bad guys and the old New Mutants battle the new New Mutants with the fate of Magik at stake. Feeling that family is the most important thing and still suffering over the deaths of her own siblings, Karma knocks out the present New Mutants and allows Mikhail to try and save his sister.
