Joe Keatinge
Joe Keatinge is an American comic book writer and editor, best known for his work at Marvel Comics and Image Comics, and as co-editor of the anthology *Popgun* with Mark Andrew Smith. Born in the United States, he entered the industry in the mid-2000s, initially working as a colorist before shifting to writing. His most prominent creator-owned series is *Shutter*, a surreal adventure saga published by Image Comics, which showcased his knack for blending family drama with wild, imaginative world-building. At Marvel, he wrote *Morbius: The Living Vampire* and *Marvel Knights: Hulk*, while his DC work included a run on *DC Universe Presents*. He also wrote *Glory* for Image and the series *Hell Yeah*. Keatinge often collaborated with artists like Leandro Fernández and Ken Garing. His career was active from 2004 to 2018, during which he was credited on over 70 issues. While he did not receive major industry awards, his contributions to independent and superhero comics earned him a dedicated following. After 2018, he stepped back from regular comics work, leaving behind a body of work noted for its emotional depth and genre-blending creativity.
