Shutter #6 delivers one of the more striking covers of 2014, with Leila del Duca placing two anthropomorphic canine figures — one in samurai-style armor brandishing a sword, the other in a dark coat cradling a rifle — face to face beneath the looming, horned visage of a massive green creature with glowing yellow eyes. The tension between the two armed figures, set against that enormous and unsettling beast, captures everything that makes Joe Keatinge's series so compellingly strange. If you've been following this wildly imaginative Image title, this issue — subtitled "They're Great at Parties" — looks like exactly the kind of escalation you've been waiting for.
