Morbius: The Living Vampire #3

Part of Marvel NOW!'s 2013 lineup, this third issue of Morbius: The Living Vampire presents a striking cover by David López — a hooded, crouching figure with a wide, unsettling grin perches atop a post in a rubble-strewn, red-drenched cityscape, pointing directly at the viewer while a WANTED poster bearing Morbius's face is pinned just below. The composition is all menace and dark humor, with that grinning stranger framed against ruined urban architecture rendered entirely in deep crimson tones. With Joe Keatinge writing and Richard Elson on interior art and inks, this series was already delivering a moody, street-level take on Marvel's living vampire.
