Shutter #5 brings the wondrous, danger-filled world of Joe Keatinge and Leila del Duca's series to a striking high point. Del Duca's cover places protagonist Kate Kristopher — armed, halo-crowned, and surrounded by luminous angelic wings — in a tense free-fall alongside a young blonde boy, both of them reaching toward each other against a sweeping sky backdrop. Owen Gieni's cool teal palette gives the whole image an otherworldly glow that perfectly captures the series' blend of adventure and the fantastical.
