Shutter #9

Shutter #9 brings one of 2015's most imaginative Image series to an unsettling close-up: the entire cover is consumed by a massive, deeply textured red face — grotesque and commanding, with dark wire-mesh grilles where the eyes and mouth should be. It's a striking, almost claustrophobic image that signals the series isn't shying away from darker territory as it heads into the arc titled "With a Bullet." Joe Keatinge and Leila del Duca, along with colorist Owen Gieni and letterer John Workman, continue to make Shutter one of the more visually daring books on shelves.
