Joe Keatinge and Nick Barber's wrestling noir reaches its thirteenth chapter with a cover that layers two vivid images: a brooding man rendered in cool blue-violet tones turns his back to us in the foreground, while below him a masked wrestler raises his arms triumphantly beneath the CMW banner, surrounded by smoke and sparks. Simon Gough's coloring gives the whole composition a moody, cinematic tension that perfectly captures the series' blend of athletic spectacle and shadowy drama. If you've been following Ringside for its gritty, human take on the wrestling world, this 2017 Image Comics issue looks like a compelling next chapter.
