Shutter #8
Shutter #8 offers a surprisingly warm and disarming cover from Leila del Duca — two grinning young people seated outdoors, each holding a heaping bowl of food, radiating the kind of easy camaraderie that feels almost deceptively cheerful for a series full of adventure and intrigue. The earthy setting, with grass and pebbled soil behind them, gives the scene a relaxed, intimate quality that stands in playful contrast to the story's title, "Lord of the Fruit Flies." Joe Keatinge and del Duca, with colors by Owen Gieni and letters by John Workman, continue to make Shutter one of Image's most visually inventive ongoing series of 2015.
