Glory #23

Part of Image Comics' 20th-anniversary celebration in 2012, this relaunch of Glory announces itself boldly as the "1st issue in a bold new era for Extreme!" — and the cover by Sophie Campbell delivers on that promise. Glory herself dominates the image, white hair billowing dramatically as she stands armored and battle-ready atop a writhing heap of grotesque creatures — fanged, tentacled, and thoroughly unsettling. Writer Joe Keatinge and artist Ross Campbell kick off "Once and Future Part One: 'The Way it Was'" with a cover that makes it immediately clear this warrior is not someone her enemies should take lightly.
