Sonia Oback is an American comic book colorist whose career spans more than two decades of consistent work across both major publishers. Best known for her long association with Top Cow Productions' supernatural series Witchblade, she has also made a significant mark at Marvel and DC, bringing her coloring sensibility to titles including X-Force, X-23: Target X, Catwoman, Batman: The Dark Knight, and Forever Evil, among many others.

Active in the industry since at least 2004, Oback has accumulated credits on roughly 200 issues as both colorist and inker, demonstrating a versatility that goes beyond pure color work. Her palette choices tend to serve mood and atmosphere — particularly evident in the darker, more gothic corners of the superhero genre where much of her most prominent work sits. More recently she contributed colors to the Uncanny Spider-Man series, showing continued relevance well into the 2020s.

No single origin story or formal training background is documented in available sources, but her sustained presence across high-profile titles at Top Cow, Marvel, and DC reflects a craft that has earned lasting trust from editors and creative teams alike. While specific awards are not on record, her breadth of work across genres and publishers marks her as one of the more quietly reliable colorists of her generation.
