Rogue has left Utopia to help Wolverine teach the next generation of mutant children at the Jean Grey School for higher learning, bringing Rachel Grey, Gambit, and a few other X-Men with her. While they train the students to use and control their abilities, the N'Garai break through a portal onto the school grounds. Rogue rallies the teachers to defeat the demon invasion while simultaneously maintaining her emotional distance from Gambit. As a result, Gambit and Frenzy find themselves getting close and share a kiss.
