Cap recalls the first time he encountered the assassin known as X-23 whom he now has in custody. X-23 continues her tale as to how she tried to live a normal life with her foster mother's relatives and actually grew close to her cousin, Megan, whose life she saved in the past. Sadly, a lethal assassin trained in the art of death finds it a little hard to fit into the mundane trials of high school. And little known to the women of the Kinney family, Debbie's boyfriend works with the people who created X-23 and he has a vial of the deadly trigger scent that causes Laura to kill.
