Magdalena spares Jackie so that they can take down the bigger threat of the Angelus. Jackie and Magdalena confront the Angelus at the grave site of Frankie Franchetti. In the ensuing battle Appolonia stabs the Angelus with the Spear of Destiny, separating the Angelus from the body of her mother. The Angelus chooses Patience as a new host, but Patience casts off the Angelus force, leaving it without a human host.
