Mark D. Bright, born December 27, 1955, was an American comic book artist and storyboard artist, sometimes credited as Doc Bright. He entered the industry in the early 1980s and became best known for penciling Marvel Comics' "Armor Wars" storyline in *Iron Man*, as well as the two *Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn* miniseries for DC Comics. Bright also painted the cover for Marvel's *Transformers* #5. Alongside writer Christopher J. Priest, he co-created the irreverent superhero duo Quantum and Woody. After a busy period penciling titles like *Icon* and *G.I. Joe, A Real American Hero*, Bright transitioned into freelance storyboard work. He and Priest reunited in 2014–2015 for a five-issue *Quantum and Woody* miniseries published by Valiant Comics. Bright passed away on March 27, 2024. His career spanned from 1983 to 2023, with credits as artist, colorist, inker, and writer on 138 issues. He is remembered for his clean, dynamic storytelling and his contributions to both mainstream superhero comics and independent publishing.
