Billed as "The Cosmic Defender," this July 1993 issue puts Green Lantern front and center in a breathtaking space battle, his ring blazing with emerald energy as laser blasts converge on him from every direction and a fleet of spacecraft swarms around a vulnerable Earth below. The cover by Claude St. Aubin and Romeo Tanghal sells the scale beautifully — a massive green-skinned alien looms on either side of our hero, weapons drawn, while clouds of green energy billow dramatically through the star-filled void.
