Part two of the "Mosaic" arc arrives in August 1991 with a cover that puts John Stewart front and center, mouth open in a raw cry of effort as waves of fiery orange energy blast past him from a small but clearly dangerous armored figure at lower left. M. D. Bright and Romeo Tanghal bring real physicality to the scene — Stewart's whole body strains against the assault, green uniform torn between determination and desperation.
