Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn II #5

Part five of six in the "90 Days" arc, this 1991 DC issue puts Hal Jordan right in the thick of a full-scale prison riot — Green Lantern costume and all — surrounded by a surging mob of inmates while an armored, mechanized figure looms large above the chaos. M. D. Bright's pencils and Klaus Janson's inks give the cover a wonderfully kinetic, crowded energy, with the bold yellow "RIOT!" blazing across the scene to leave no doubt about the stakes. With only one chapter left, the tension heading into the finale is palpable.
