From Milestone's Dakotaverse comes a cover-billed showdown that delivers exactly what it promises: Icon vs. the Blood Syndicate. The cover by ChrisCross sets an appropriately intense tone, with a crowd of Syndicate members — including a ghostly blue figure, a female member with crossed arms, and a monstrous creature in the foreground — assembled against a blazing, fire-filled backdrop, with Icon himself visible in a small inset near the title. Dwayne McDuffie, M. D. Bright, and Romeo Tanghal bring "Blood Reign, Chapter 2" to life in this 1996 Milestone/DC offering that puts two of the imprint's biggest properties squarely on a collision course.
