Bright that puts Rocket front and center — wide-eyed and gripping her head in apparent shock or pain — while a menacing, clawed figure looms behind her against a backdrop of smoke and flames. The tension radiating off this image is palpable, suggesting Rocket is in very serious trouble as part two of this story gets underway. Dwayne McDuffie's writing paired with Bright's sharp linework made this one of the most distinctive superhero series of 1996, and this issue looks to be no exception.
