Part one of the "Mothership Connection" crossover event, this September 1994 Milestone/DC issue drops readers right into the tension with a cover that says it all — a massive, agitated crowd fills every inch of the image, many wearing or holding anti-Icon buttons and shirts, their expressions ranging from open anger to cold hostility, while a composed young woman holds her ground in the foreground. M. D. Bright's cover pencils and inks pack the composition with remarkable detail, giving every face in the crowd its own distinct emotion. Written by Dwayne McDuffie and M. D.
